Os legisladores no Wisconsin estão a planear criar um aeroporto espacial. Será criada a Wisconsin Aerospace Authority para promover o projecto entre os investidores privados que planeiam viagens ao espaço e turismo espacial. Bob Cook, Presidente da Wisconsin Transportation Development Association afirmou "As long as there's not much state money, I think it makes sense. There's an industry out there that's growing and it's smart to do what we can to try to take advantage".
